佛光大學佛教研究中心的成立，展望未來成為研究漢傳佛教，世界佛教研究中心的標竿。今年4月15日將成立佛光大學佛教研究中心， 3月6日於佛光大學召開開幕研討籌備會議，由研發長謝大寧教授主持，佛光山教育院院長永光法師、佛光大學佛教學系永東法師、人間佛教研究院妙凡法師等人出席。

Professor Cheng Gongrang, Director of the Center for Buddhist Thought and Humanistic Buddhism Studies at Shanghai University, delivered the keynote speech, “Venerable Master Hsing Yun as a Brilliant Beacon of Humanistic Buddhism,” on August 21 at Dharma Gem Hall, Fo Guang Shan.
