人間佛教座談會 學者雲集 開展研究新視野
教的管理心法〉、政治大學華人宗教研究中心教授李玉珍的〈重訪聖地復興佛教──星雲大師與印度〉。 第一場座談呈現人間佛教和其他學科的對話。香港中文大學文學院院長賴品超以中英文在Google搜尋佛教、和解、Buddhism、Reconciliation等關鍵字，比較佛教與天主教、基督宗教的寬恕與和解，發現宗教對話的確可在化解國際衝突與暴力中扮演重要角色。江南大學宗教社會學研究所所長鄧子美，從哲學與佛學的角度釐清科學與人文的關係，建議用善知識引導高科技，以中道智慧駕馭技術運用，則人文大可與科技形成良好互動。 華東師範大學宗教與社會研究中心主任李向平從社會學角度指出，人間佛教文化構成的基本內涵，具體表現.....
趙氏廷箴懷芳佛學講座系列英文論壇 談佛教待人與待己的慈悲
董事長暨麻省理工學院校友趙元修、天普大學人文藝術學院宗教系副教授馬德偉（Marcus Bingenheimer）擔任與談人，主題為「Compassion and Self Compassion in Buddhism」（談佛教待人與待己的慈悲），由麻省理工學院歷史系趙氏廷箴懷芳東亞文明講座教授（T.T. and W.F. 《佛光大辭典》英譯培訓 前進舊金山
出版的《大般涅槃經》英譯本，被收藏為傳道協會的英文大藏經系列。 巴斯維爾教授經驗豐富，費時12年主編，於2013年出版的《普林斯頓佛教字典》(The Princeton Dictionary of Buddhism)，是目前英語界最有權威性的佛學辭典。他帶來專業的指導，提供大家快速解讀佛學名相、法數的方法，以及用字遣詞的技巧。兩位教授皆感到很榮幸能參與此計畫，他們表示《佛光大辭典》內容廣泛，橫跨佛教歷史與文化，甚至有許多是他們從未看過的辭條，短短幾天的課程，也向整個翻譯團隊學了不少。 首日晚上，大家分成小組，探討筆譯的關鍵步驟，同時複習各種語言工具的使用方法。在其後兩天的佛學研討交流會上，學.....
