偶逢一笑
張大千 ( 1899~1983 )

說法青蓮九品臺,
天知病榻亦低迴;
偶逢一笑禪心定,
那有阿難著體來。

Coming upon a Smile
Zhang Daqian (1899 - 1983)
English translation: John Balcom

Speaking the Dharma, the blue lotus of nine platforms,
Heaven knows of the sickbed and the groaning;
By chance one smiles and the Chan mind will be set on meditative concentration.
From nowhere, Ananda comes.

── from Zhang Da Qian Tiannu Sanhua Tishi (Zhang Daqian's "Rain of Flowers from the Celestial Being")
