之外,還有個無求的天地;

Picking up, Letting Go
Venerable Master Hsing Yun (1927 - , Fo Guang Shan)
English translation: Zhi Yue and Calvin Ka-fat Lau

If we live our lives in a continuous pursuit of desire,
then we are fearful and hurt when we do not get our
desires. In the hustle and bustle of life, we can learn
from Master Budai. Although he carries a big sack,
he is always at ease as he understands when to pick
up and when to let go according to the circumstances.
Learning to pick up and let go is just like packing and
unpacking a suitcase before and after a trip. Having
the wisdom of knowing when to let go is to live in
peace without materialistic desire. It is also to have a
Dharma body that lives past death.
