Hands Free from Worldly Matters
Huangbo Xiyun ( ? - 850, Tang Dynasty)
English translation: Zhi Yue
The mind is as boundless as the ocean;
widely plant pure lotuses to cultivate the body and mind.
Naturally a pair of hands free from worldly matters,
will serve as a person of compassion for the world.
── from Biyan Lu (Blue Cliff Record)
