Song of the Six Perfections and Being Mindful of the Buddha
Ouyi Zhixu (1599 - 1655, Ming Dynasty)
English translation: You Zai

To be truly mindful of the Buddha, let go of attachments to
one's body, mind, and worldly affairs; this is the practice of
great generosity.

To be truly mindful of the Buddha, do not give rise to the
thoughts of greed, hatred, and ignorance; this is the practice of
great morality.

To be truly mindful of the Buddha, do not calculate the
rights and wrongs of oneself and others; this is the practice of
great tolerance.

To be truly mindful of the Buddha, do not be disrupted or
distracted; this is the practice of great diligence.

To be truly mindful of the Buddha, do not give rise to
deluded thoughts or pursue them; this is the practice of great
concentration.

To be truly mindful of the Buddha, do not be confused by
any delusions; this is the practice of great wisdom.
