萬事無如退歩休，本來無證亦無修；
明窗高掛菩提月，淨蓮深栽濁世中。
To the Peace Brought by Compromise Nothing Compares
Cishou Huaishen (1077 - 1123, Northern Song Dynasty)
English translation: Miao Guang
To the peace brought by compromise nothing compares,
Since nothing there is to cultivate or attain;
Hanging high outside the clear window is the moon,
Blooming from a turbid world, the pure lotuses.
