無常

法性本無常，亦不墮諸數。
譬彼空中雲，當體即常住。
聖凡皆過客，去來無二路。
是生不是生，非新亦非故。
智眼明見人，此外何所慕。

Impermanence is fundamental Dharma nature,
Unyielding to any sort of expectation.
Similar to that cloud in the sky,
Its substance is eternal.
Both the sage and ordinary are passersby,
Coming and going never were two ways.
What is born was never born,
Nor has new ever been old.
The eyes of wisdom clearly can see,
Other than this yearning for nothing.
