池上蓮荷不自開，山中流水偶然來。
若言聚散定有我，未是回時那得回。

Lingyi (727 - 762, Tang Dynasty)
English translation: Miao Guang
Lotuses in the pond do not blossom on their own,
Besides the occassional visits of waters from up high.
Mentions of meeting and parting always involve me,
Before it is time to go, how can I ever leave?
