明 憨山德清大師（1546～1623）

今晚明星上，當初夢醒時。
雪山仍在眼，覺樹正垂枝。
遙想耽飢瘦，因思獻乳麋。
六年寒徹骨，心苦有誰知。

Gazing upon the stars tonight,
Having awakened from the dream.
The snow mountain still before my eyes,
Also the bodhi tree’s dangling branches.
Recalling time wasted on starving the body to skin and bone,
Due to contemplation of the offered milk porridge.
Chilled to the bone for over six years,
Who knows the pains of my mind?
