夫妻之道（百忍太和）

人間和氣福運開，家中吵鬧便生災。
暗中再加鄰居笑，定規沒有好日來。
夫妻因緣前生定，夫唱婦隨萬事成。
百世修來共船度，千世修來共枕眠。
丈夫不可嫌妻醜，妻子切莫嫌夫貧。
妻子美醜前生定，夫家貧富命生成。
命好不到貧家去，命苦難進富貴門。
丈夫為家圖發達，妻子勤儉助良人。
平心思念姻緣好，等級無分敬如賓。

Ways of Matrimony
Zhang Gongyi (577 - 676, Tang Dynasty)

Harmony is the door to good fortune,
Disputes the cause of calamity.
Added with neighbors' secret ridicules,
Unhappiness is only inevitable.
Matrimony is predestined,
Harmony between husband and wife makes anything possible.
It takes a hundred lifetimes of cultivation to travel on the same boat,
A thousand lifetimes of cultivation to wake up together.
A husband must not call his wife ugly,
Nor should a wife dislike her husband for being poor.
For the wife's beauty or ugliness is predestined as well,
So is the husband's fortune or misfortune.
Fortune does not knock on the door of the poor,
Misfortune does not land on the door of purity.
A husband must strive to bring prosperity to the family,
A wife must remain diligent and supportive.
In keeping a fair mind about the beauty of matrimony,
No one shall discriminate but treat with respect.
