弘法者之歌
星雲大師 （1927~）

銀河掛高空，明月照心靈，
四野蟲唧唧，眾生心朦朧。
救主佛陀庇佑我，為教為人樂融融。
尊者富樓那，佈教遇蠻兇，
犧牲生命都不惜，只望佛法可興隆。
我教友齊努力，為教作先鋒，
不畏魔難強，不懼障礙多，
個人幸福非所願，只為聖教建勳功。
佛歌入雲霄，法音驚迷夢，
周圍風習習，眾生苦無窮，
救主佛陀庇佑我，宣揚真理喜盈盈。
尊者目犍連，為法遭賊兇，
粉身碎骨心無怨，只望佛法可興隆。
我教友齊努力，為教作先鋒，
赴湯蹈火去，獻身殉教來，
個人幸福非所願，只為聖教爭光榮。

Song of the Dharma Propagator

The silvery galaxy hangs high in the sky,
The bright moon illuminates the hearts,
Insects and bugs chirp in the wild,
Sentient beings dream deluded thoughts.

O, Buddha!
Please bestow your blessings unto me,
May I benefit Buddhism and others with joy.
Purna came across barbarians
    in his endeavors to promote Dharma,
But he was willing to sacrifice his life,
Only so that Buddhism can thrive.

Fellow Buddhists,
Together, let's be pioneers for our faith!
Fear not the mighty Mara,
Fear not the many hardships.

Personal gain is never our goal,
To contribute to our sacred faith
Is all we ever wish for!

The sounds of Buddhist hymns
Soaring into the clouds,
Awakening those dreams of confusion.
Winds howling in the wilderness,
Sentient beings drowning in suffering.

O, Buddha!
Please bestow your blessings unto me,
Joyfully we shall spread the words of Truth.
Maudgalyayana lost his life to bandits
Never regretting this sacrifice he had made.
All he wanted was to glorify Buddhism.

Fellow Buddhists,
Together, let's be pioneers for our faith!
Ready to go through fire and water,
Ready to be martyrs for our faith.

To contribute to our sacred faith
Is all we ever wish for!
