思量飢餓苦,溫飽便是福。
思量貧窮苦,享有便是福。
思量怠惰苦,發奮便是福。
思量揮霍苦,簡樸便是福。
思量孤獨苦,親友便是福。
思量老病苦,健康便是福。
思量驕慢苦,恭敬便是福。
思量疑慮苦,誠信便是福。
思量邪見苦,正知便是福。
思量挫折苦,擔當便是福。
思量委曲苦,放下便是福。
思量喪志苦,提起便是福。
思量批評苦,改過便是福。
思量算計苦,純真便是福。
思量奔波苦,居家便是福。
思量嫉妒苦,寬厚便是福。
思量固執苦,開通便是福。
思量迷惑苦,明理便是福。
思量悲觀苦,豁達便是福。
思量名利苦,恬淡便是福。
思量牢獄苦,守法便是福。
思量災害苦,平安便是福。
思量亂世苦,安定便是福。
思量死亡苦,生存便是福。
人生應有福,可惜不知足。

In knowing the pain of toiling,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be at rest.
In knowing the pain of hunger,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be fed.
In knowing the pain of poverty,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have.
In knowing the pain of indolence,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to strive.
In knowing the pain of extravagance,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have frugality.
In knowing the pain of loneliness,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have family and friends.
In knowing the pain of old age and sickness,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have good health.
In knowing the pain of arrogance,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have respect.
In knowing the pain of doubt,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be sincere and trustworthy.
In knowing the pain of erroneous views,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have right view.
In knowing the pain of setbacks,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to take responsibility.
In knowing the pain of being wronged,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to let go.
In knowing the pain of despair,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have aspirations.
In knowing the pain of criticism,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to self-improve.
In knowing the pain of deviousness,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have innocence.
In knowing the pain of rushing about,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be at home.
In knowing the pain of jealousy,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be magnanimous.
In knowing the pain of stubbornness,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be reasonable.
In knowing the pain of confusion,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be understanding.
In knowing the pain of pessimism,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to optimistic.
In knowing the pain of fame and gain,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be content.
In knowing the pain of incarceration,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be law-abiding.
In knowing the pain of disasters,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be safe.
In knowing the pain of chaos,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to have stability.
In knowing the pain of death,
You shall realize that it is a blessing to be alive.
Supposedly we all deserve our blessings
Yet all is lost in the face of discontent.
