Description:

Praise to the Amitabha Buddha
Translation by: Fo Guang Shan International Translation Center

Amitabha Buddha, the great king of vows,
whose mercy, compassion, happiness
and equanimity are immeasurable.
Between his brows, a light emits from his
white curled radiance.
He delivers beings so they may enter his paradise.
The pond of eight treasures grows lotuses of nine grades.
The seven jeweled trees form rows.
If the Tathagata's sacred epithets are propagated,
one will be received and enter the Western Paradise.
If Amitabha's sacred name is said,
one will be received and enter the Western Paradise.
