感恩的人生
佛光星雲 ( 1927~ )

感恩的人，有情有義；
感恩的人，內心富有。
感恩的人生，才懂得付出；
感恩的人生，才明白富貴。

感恩夏天的豔陽，感恩秋冬的霜雪，
他們能使稻禾成熟。
感恩崇高的山嶽，感恩澎湃的海洋，
讓我懂得虛心包容。

感恩的人生，是幸福的人生；
感恩的觀念，是智慧的財富；
感恩的心靈，是豐富的寶藏；
感恩的習慣，是處世的榜樣。
時時心存感恩，人生何其美好。

A Life of Gratitude

A grateful person has affection and righteousness;
A grateful person has a generous heart.

Only a life filled with gratitude
      knows the meaning of giving;
Only a life filled with gratitude
      understands what true wealth is.

Let us be grateful for the shining summer sun,
      and the autumn and winter frost and snow,
For they help to bring a year of harvest.
Let us be grateful for the lofty mountains
      and surging ocean,
For they teach us to be humble and tolerant.

A grateful life is a happy life;
The sense of gratitude is an abundance of wisdom;
The spirit of gratitude is a plentiful basket of treasures.
The habit of gratitude is an exemplar to society;

Let the sense of gratitude be ever present,
      and life shall surely be wondrous.
