孟浩然詩選 ─ 夜歸鹿門山歌
唐 孟浩然 ( 689~740 )

山寺鐘鳴晝已昬，漁梁渡頭爭渡喧；
人隨沙路向江村，余亦乘舟歸鹿門。
鹿門月照開煙樹，忽到龐公棲隱處；
巖扉松徑長寂寥，惟有幽人夜來去。

Mountain Song of Returning to Lumen at Night
Meng Haoran (689 - 740, Tang Dynasty)
English translation: Miao Guang

As the mountain-temple bell tolls, night falls,
Travelers clamor at Yuliang pier, to board.
While others tread the sandy path
    back towards their riverbank village homes,
I too, ride a boat that is bound for Lumen.
As misty trees brighten up beneath Her moonlight,
Unexpectedly, I arrive at Pang’s secret abode,
Outside the hermitage door lays a piney path,
    all secluded and scarce,
The only who comes and goes,
    is none but the hermit himself.
