擴大人生
佛光星雲 ( 1927~ )

生活懵懂時，要揭開它；生活憂傷時，要克服它；
生活挫折時，要奮起它；生活美好時，要歌頌它。

在受苦的時候，感到快樂；在委屈的時候，覺得公平；
在忙碌的時候，仍然安閒；在受責的時候，知道慈悲。

少年的時候，要修理自己；青年的時候，要正視自己；
壯年的時候，要擴大自己；老年的時候，要圓滿自己。

要將美麗的善心散布人間，要將芬芳的愛心傳播社會，
要將清淨的真心供養十方，要將彩色的好心與人結緣。

When life is confusing, unravel it.
When life is distressing, transcend it.
When life is frustrating, rise above it.
When life is beautiful, praise it.

Be happy even when suffering.
Be fair even when wronged.
Be relaxed even when busy.
Be tolerant even when criticized.*

Refine yourself during your juvenile years.
Face yourself during your adolescent years.
Expand yourself during your prime years.
Perfect yourself during your senior years.

Offer the world the beauty of a wholesome heart.
Offer society the fragrance of a loving heart.
Offer the universe the purity of a sincere heart.
Offer humanity the colors of a kind heart.
