早上起來十念法,夜晚睡前一炷香。
吃飯之前五觀想,有無好壞不計較。
憂愁煩惱不管他,逢人見面要說好。
悲歡離合隨因緣,生老病死不牽掛。
心中滿足到處好,人情冷暖任隨他。
樂觀進取真逍遙,威武權勢不必怕。
行住坐臥要威儀,衣食住行莫浮華。
做人處事八正道,慈悲喜捨稱無量。

The Way of Ten Contemplations
Venerable Master Hsing Yun (1927 - , Fo Guang Shan)

Practice the Ten Contemplations upon waking;
    offer an incense before going to bed.
Be mindful of the Five Contemplations while eating;
    don’t fuss over gain or loss.
Don’t worry or distress;
    speak good words upon meeting others.
Follow the causes and conditions regarding joy and sorrow;
    don’t worry about birth, old age, sickness, and death.
Have a content heart and everywhere is a good place;
    don’t bother too much about
    whether a relationship is cold or hot.
Optimism brings carefreeness and ease;
    don’t be afraid of power and authority.
Have good manners in all aspects of life;
    don’t be pretentious with clothing and food.
Follow the Noble Eightfold Path when dealing with others;
    compassion, kindness, joy, and equanimity
    are the most supreme.
