觀音讚
南海普陀山古德

觀音菩薩妙難酬，
清淨莊嚴累劫修，
三十二應遍塵剎，
百千萬劫化閻浮，
瓶中甘露常時灑，
手內楊柳不計秋，
千處祈求千處應，
苦海常作度人舟。
南無大慈大悲救苦救難
廣大靈感觀世音菩薩！

Praise of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva
Ancient Verse from Nanhai, Mt. Potalaka
English translation: Zhi Yue

The wonder of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is inexpressible,
Having purity and majesty resulting from many kalpas of cultivation.
Her thirty-two manifestations appear everywhere in this world,
Liberating sentient beings for innumerable eons.
Always sprinkling sweet dew out from her vase,
With a willow in her hand, through countless autumns.
Prayers from a thousand places said, in a thousand ways she responds,
In the ocean of suffering, she is the everlasting ferry that liberates all.

Homage to the great compassionate and merciful liberator of suffering who responds to all,
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva!
