毛澤東 ( 1893~1976 )
孩兒立志出鄉關,學不成名誓不還;
埋骨何須桑梓地,人生無處不青山。

A Poem for My Father
Mao Zedong (1893 - 1976)
English translation: Zhi Yue
Your son is determined to leave our hometown,
If fame is not achieved, I swear not to return,
Why do one's bones need to be buried in one's native place?
For in life, there are no mountains that aren't green.
── from Mao Zedong Shiciji (Collection of Poetry and Verses by Mao Zedong)
