向真理低頭
郭沫若 ( 1892~1978 )

我們只願在真理的聖壇之前低頭，
不願在一切物質的權威之前拜倒。

我們人人要存著必勝的決心，
然而我們也要不怕屢敗的挫折。

形成天才的決定因素應該是勤奮，
有幾分勤學苦練，天資就能發揮幾分。
天資的充分發揮和個人的勤學苦練是成正比例的。

時間就是生命，時間就是速度，時間就是力量。

讀不在三更五鼓，,功只怕一曝十寒。

種瓜得瓜，種豆得豆。
種下優惠的友情，得到仁惠的友情。

Bowing to the Truth
Guo Moruo (1892 - 1978)

                                   I
We are only willing to bow before the altar of truth, unwilling
to grovel before authority of all materialism.

                                   II
We should have the determination to win, but we should also
be unafraid of failures and setbacks.

                                   III
What determines genius is diligence. Working and studying
diligently allow one’s innate talent to be further developed.
The amount of one’s talent developed is directly proportional
to one’s diligence.

                                   IV
Time is life; time is speed; time is power.

                                   V
Studying is not about burning the midnight oil. One reaches
success not by being sporadic.

                                   VI
Planting a gourd will result in gourds. Planting a bean will
result in beans. Planting benevolent friendliness will result in
benevolent friendliness.
