大慈當與一切人生的安樂，
有大悲當救一切人生苦痛；
救人應當救各國各種的人，
救世應當利益於一切生物。

Great Kindness and Compassion

English translation: You Zai

With great loving-kindness,
    one shall give comfort and happiness to all,

With great compassion,
    one should liberate all from life’s suffering;

To liberate human beings,
    one should liberate those from all nations and all walks of life.

To liberate the world,
    one should benefit all sentient beings.
